Vibration Therapy Session
Our state of the art vibration table transmits energy to your body, forcing your muscles to contract and relax dozens of times each second. The activity may cause you to feel as if you're exerting yourself. This can reduce back pain, bone loss and improve strength and balance.
Applying moist heat in the first minutes of your massage session will speed up the relaxation time and enhance the benefits of the bodywork session as a whole. Hot towels provide moist heat that sinks right through your skin into the muscle and even organs, promoting tissue softening and deep relaxation.
Biofreeze is a topical analgesic that uses the cooling effect of menthol and is a natural pain reliever that soothes minor muscles and joint pain. It penetrates quickly and offers relief through cold therapy. When Biofreeze is applied to a painful area, it creates a cold sensation that overrides the pain signals to the brain, thereby reducing the pain. Biofreeze is an analgesic that is useful for treating not only sprains and sore muscles, but also arthritis and other types of joint pain.
Moist Heat Pack Therapy
Also referred to as superficial heat, moist heat pack therapy is used to control pain, speed healing, relax muscles, and increase range of motion. A hot pack is placed on the tight or painful area and left there for about 10 or 15 minutes. With the exception of certain types of massage, moist heat treatment is perhaps the most relaxing of all the physical therapy modalities. It's often used at the beginning of a physical therapy session to loosen your muscles and get them ready for exercise. Moist heat is more effective than dry heat in providing deeper penetration of the tissue at the same temperatures. It can also speed recovery by increasing blood flow to the targeted area.
Foot massages, along with soothing scrubs, gently work out the kinks in tight muscles, calm those irritated spots and give you silky, sexy feet without any uncomfortable or unsightly rough patches. Improves circulation, stimulates muscles and often eases pain. Your feet work hard for you every day. Just like your neck, back, and shoulders, your feet can also benefit from a regular rubdown.
Therapeutic hand massage techniques can be effective in soothing pain as well as increasing your range of motion. Each of your hands contains more than two dozen bones -- 27, to be exact. With so many bones connected by so many joints, there's a greater possibility of pain resulting from joints that have grown tired and stiff. Massage gets the blood flowing into areas that might have grown stiff and sore. Not only the muscles but also the tendons, joints, ligaments and connective tissues in your hands benefit from regular massage therapy. Therapists work to stimulate the flow of blood that improves circulation, increases the delivery of nutrients to underlying tissues, and facilitates movement in your joints. It adds up to healthier, more dexterous hands as well as stronger and more flexible wrists and fingers. Therapists combine focused scrub and massage.
Chakra Healing & Balancing
A form of hands-on polarity therapy—similar to aura balancing— which facilitates the even flow of energy through nerve plexi or chakras, from the coccyx (first, or root chakra) to the top of the head (7th, or crown chakra). Chakra healing is believed to be useful in relieving anxiety, headaches, stress and tension. This is only offered by select theraptists (Megan & Kaitlyn).
